A poorly vacuumed carpet is one of the quickest ways for a customer to notice an unsatisfactory cleaning. In fact, this is one of the most frequent complaints that we receive from customers. Below are some tips and tricks on how to impress your customer with perfectly vacuumed carpets.
- Have a functioning vacuum. Every customer will expect you to bring your own vacuum. Make sure your vacuum is functioning properly and powerful enough. A good rule of thumb is that if your vacuum does not leave carpet lines, then it is not strong enough. Do not ask the customer to borrow theirs.
- Clean your vacuum after each use. Don’t bring someone else’s dirt into your next home. Make sure you empty your vacuum between each cleaning. This will also ensure that your vacuum is performing at its best.
- Leave crisp carpet lines. Carpet lines are the easiest way to really go above and beyond to impress your customer. Check out this quick youtube video for a step by step tutorial on how to leave those crisp lines: How to leave carpet lines
- Don’t leave footprints. After leaving those perfect vacuum lines the last thing you want to do is walk over and leave footprints. Vacuum last and make sure you have gotten all of your belongings out of the room. Start at the farthest corner and work towards the exit.
- Don’t skip the hidden areas. Use the hose attachment on your vacuum to get the dirt hidden in corners and behind furniture.
