Please note, you are an independent contractor not an employee. This means that Hux is NOT a previous employer.
Employment verification
Since you are an independent contractor, not an employee, we do not provide employment verifications. We do offer an earnings report which you can download:
Your account > "Payment" > scroll down to "Earnings Report"
Your earnings contain all payments sent to you from Hux including tips.
Unemployment
Typically, independent contractors are not eligible for unemployment benefits although there may be exceptions for COVID-19. When you fill out any forms or communicate with your state's Department of Labor you must indicate that you are "self-employed" or you will be denied.
Unfortunately, our support agents are not qualified to help you apply for these programs. We recommend contacting your local office:
Tax information (1099-NEC)
Since you are an independent contractor, Hux is required to issue you a 1099-NEC for the previous year if you have earned over $600. You may access your 1099-NEC from your account.
Your account > "Payment" > scroll down to "1099"
If you worked on a team, you will only receive one 1099-NEC for the individual that was paid. By law, Hux cannot provide a 1099-NEC to the other team member. The team member that received the payment has the option to 1099-NEC the other team member on their own. This is not a service that Hux currently provides.
